National Lands Commission has started the hearing of the Historical land injustices across the country meted on land owners from 1895 to 2010.The hearings which kicked off in Baringo, Nyeri, Kiambu and Mombasa saw the commission receive over 3,743 claims of land injustices, out of which 1,400 met the threshold for hearings and investigations. According to National Lands Commission chairperson Prof. James Tuitoek, the commission will hear the claims and give recommendations to claimants and implementing authorities by next year.
