NOTE:

First off, I HATE it when products break during testing. It not only means that I'm without something that I like but it makes life harder for the good people at these companies. Also, I'd like to reiterate that I wasn't trying to break the knife and I felt that damp, wooden pallets wasn't an unfair test for a high-end tactical knife designed for military special operations units. I was shocked and really disappointed when it happened.

Like I said, I didn't get a card from FirstEdge but they saw my Instagram post (@budgetbugout) and have already emailed me stating that they are committed to resolving this issue. However, I want to find out more about their warranty program and find out why it is seemingly unfriendly sounding [see below].

"...Our warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse, misuse, improper handling, alteration, accident, neglect, disassembly or improper sharpening. If any of our products fails to function as it was designed we will examine its condition upon its return to us, identify why it failed and respond in an appropriate manner. If we determine that there is a defect in the manufacture or materials we will repair, or replace that product with the same model or one of equal value. If the problem is determined not to be caused by defects in manufacture or materials we will inform you of the cost for repair. Upon agreement and payment we will perform the repair..."
