Sirius and Sophie have known each other forever. Even when they went to Hogwarts and Sophie went to Ravenclaw to please her father, they never stopped being friends. As they grew up, they eventually fell in love but, as they were both afraid of ruining their friendship, the first move wasn't made until their seventh year (00:30 their second kiss, first i-love-yous-out-of-the-bag kiss). When they graduate they move in together (but dont get married). After James and Lily's death, it's Dumbledore and Remus who break it up to her. She refuses to believe them at first but as to cave in to the evidence. Unable to cope with the fact that her best friend and love was the cause of her friends death, she goes away to France and stays there until Dumbledore comes to her with the news that Sirius was innocent all along. And they "meet again".
