Take 24” tall martini vase. Purchase in advance potted ivy and potted Phalaenopsis orchids and white premium size hydrangea. Using potted plants for centrepieces insures freshness and allows to have leftovers plants fo future needs. Take some scrambled pieces of tulle, arrange the nest formation and place it inside martini vase to cover and make invisible plastic container with wet sponge. For this purpose you can also use sphagnum moss or acrylic crystals or any other covering materials. Take 6” clear plastic container/ saucer and cut fitting piece of sponge, place it inside the martini vase just on top of the tulle nest and secure everything with floral tape. Make sure there is enough oasis, because hydrangea is water loving plant and can collapse fast if there is not enough water. Use floral tape in the cross formation to achieve stability of the container with oasis and tulle. Before you start to arrange the hydrangeas make sure you establish the size of the arrangement you wish to achieve. The bigger centerpiece you need the longer you have to cut your fist flower. Insert the hydrangea on the side of the arrangement and on top creating spherical shape. Make sure that flower stay firmly inside the sponge in order to prevent flowers falling out and dehydration. Do not remove the leaves, keep them on the stem, because they naturally add greens to the arrangement. Hydrangea leaves help fill the gaps between the flowers without extra effort. To create cascading training effect use Phalaenopsis potted orchids. Insert all the orchids between the hydrangea. To finish the arrangement cut ivy stems from the pot and cover the gaps around the bottom. Store centrepiece in the floral fridge overnight or other cool place.
