This was a rough one - The long and short is that Sean truly feels like the current platform landscape is doing game discoverability is a problem for new games.

This is an extremely tough problem to "Solve" as thousands of new games hit the market every day, the ability for players to even find your game becomes tougher and tougher- to the point where organic growth is dead.

Platforms don't help this issue as they tend to burry new games with no featuring in favor of games that have been able to build audiences or have brand awareness pre-release. It's difficult enough for independent developers to accrue these audiences as they develop, and no one is saying that platforms shouldn't have their best interests in mind when it comes to where the consumer is going to place their dollar, but something does need to change here to support the little guy.
