Ski-Doo Super Olympique 370 - FIRST START! 1968

Snowmobile season has finally arrived!!!! Time to get some vintage sleds in the powder! The first project to kick off the 2022 season is this wonderful original 1968 Skidoo Super Olympique (or Olympic ... lol) with the 370 Rotax opposed twin cylinder engine. That's right folks, a Boxster engine! Purchased a few years back and never ran, Matt dives into this project head first to access what it will take to get this old survivor back on the snow. Spoiler alert, engine and track damage was detected! If you like old snowmobiles, old motors or wrenching on old vintage iron, you will enjoy this ski-doo video!

If you enjoy mechanics and working on old engines, this Rotax 368cc is a fun one. Made only in 1967, 1968 and 1969, skidoo offered these super 370 opposed engines in Olympique and Alpine models. They put out 18.5 hp at 5000 rpm. They have a single Tillotson carb mounted on the rear cylinder. This particular example, seems to have had a little water damage, but hopefully can be brought back to life. Stay tuned!
