Circle Officers मुख्य कार्य और जिम्मेदारियाँ - अचला अधिकारी
भूमि अभिलेख का प्रबंधन: रैयतों (किसानों) के भू-अभिलेखों में दर्ज भूमि से संबंधित सभी कार्यों की देखरेख करना.
रैयतों से लगान की वसूली: लगान वसूलने के काम की निगरानी करना और उसमें सहायता करना.
दाखिल-खारिज की प्रक्रिया: ज़मीन की खरीद-फरोख्त के बाद नए खरीदार का नाम ज़मावंदी रजिस्टर में दर्ज करने का आदेश देना.
निगरानी और निरीक्षण: अंचल निरीक्षक (Circle Inspector) और हल्का कर्मचारियों (Field Staff) के काम की देखरेख और निरीक्षण करना.
प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण: पूरे अंचल या ब्लॉक का प्रभारी होना, जिससे भूमि से संबंधित सभी कार्य उसके नियंत्रण में होते हैं.
अंग्रेजी में समकक्ष पद
अंचल अधिकारी को अंग्रेजी में Circle Officer (CO) या कभी-कभी Tehsildar भी कहा जाता है.
पदानुक्रम
अंचल अधिकारी के पद के नीचे अंचल निरीक्षक होते हैं, और अंचल निरीक्षकों के नीचे हल्का कर्मचारी होते हैं.
यह पद बुनियादी ग्रेड का होता है और एक PCS अधिकारी के अधीन होता है.
