The news of Tina Turner’s passing is a sad one. The depth of her music’s influence on me is something I hadn’t fully appreciated until recently. I remember my Mum having the cassette in the car, how immaculate and memorable the songs were, the unmistakable voice, full of passion and grit and power. I have always loved it and carried it with me. I haven’t shared much music stuff of late, but came out of hiding to spend a few minutes on a cover. It’s rough around the edges but I just wanted to spend some time with this music today.
