The new Gillette - heritage inspired safety razor 😃

I'm very impressed with both the presentation and the performance of this new, limited edition, Gillette branded razor; it's case is stylish, well made and certainly reminiscent of a vintage Gillette 'flip top' leatherette case. Gillette have followed their own tradition, by providing a new razor with a box of blades, in a smart case, released for the holiday period

The razor's fit and finish razor is excellent. It appears the head is a German Mühle R89 production head with an American reproduction common bar handle, which was originally in production during the 1930's. The shave was exceptionally good; the shorter, heavier handle makes this razor quite different from the Mühle R89. In my opinion, it makes it a more effective razor while retaining the comfort the R89 is known for.

It cost less than the Mühle R89 and doesn't come in a cardboard box! It will suit beginners or advanced shavers. I've really enjoyed my shave with the new Gillette razor. It could easily become my go to razor.
