This Microsoft Teams Milestones tutorial will demonstrate how to integrate milestones with planner and how to connect milestones to planner. Specifically, it will demonstrate how you can customize the Microsoft Milestones Power app in Microsoft Teams to automatically create a task in Microsoft Planner when a new work item is created. Note that in this video will not demonstrate how to connect the Microsoft Milestones using power automate but, rather by adding the Microsoft Planner connector directly to the app.

The approach outlined in this video will demonstrate how you can modify the OnSelect property of the create button of the Microsoft Milestones app to invoke the Microsoft Planner connector Create Task action. Custom code will be added to the OnSelect property to pass in attributes from the new work item being created in the MS Teams Milestones app to the Planner Task. Note that you will need to hard code the group ID and plan ID meaning you will only be able to create tasks in one Microsoft Planner plan. This video will also show how to specify which Microsoft Planner bucket the milestone task should be created in.

The solution outlined in this tutorial (which involves Linking Tasks by Planner and Milestones) is one of the best ways to address, milestones vs planner, milestones vs planner teams and Microsoft milestones vs planner because you no longer need to choose one or the other.
