As the impoverished Gaza Strip, which is witnessing a war since October 7, suffers severe shortages of food and water, the al-Balawi family is trying to survive the ongoing war, despite the high cost. Inside a tent in the middle of the rubble of their destroyed house in Jabaliya refugee camp in the northern Palestinian territory, the parents lament the scarcity of vegetables and fruit to feed their children, whereas their nine-year old son Siraj complains that there are no toys to play with.
