Discussing Mahanagar with Abhishek Chaubey | The Big City | 100 Years of Satyajit with

Mahanagar (The Big City) is arguably the most feminist film of Satyajit Ray, one of the feminist classics of Indian Cinema. To discuss Mahanagar we needed to have someone who understand the female psyche well. It is our sheer privilege that we had screenwriter, prodcuer and director Abhishek Chaubey joining us to discuss this Ray classic who has presented us with remarkable female characters in his own films. And off course we are eagerly awaiting his own take on Ray, "Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa" based on Satyajit's short story "Barin Bhowmiker Byaram" as a part of the anthology film Ray releasing on Netflix on 25th June.
