British teenager missing in Tenerife as desperate search continues

Spanish rescue teams on Friday searched for a missing British teenager in Spain's holiday island of Tenerife.

Jay Slater, 19, has not been seen or heard of since Monday after he called a friend telling her he was thirsty, lost and had little battery left on his phone, British media reported.

The investigation showed the teenager, aged 19, was probably somewhere around the Masca Ravine in the wild, forested area located above the island's shore.
