For CUE003 we are very proud to present our next two Cueca artists and keep things 100%% Canadian. The original expression on this next EP comes to us from Atlantic Canada's own DJ/Producer Veev. With recent releases on Nervous Records, Farris Wheel Recordings and Guesthouse Music, Veev delivers a house music masterpiece consisting of his soulful and always silky production. This is a sexy slab of soul-infused music complete with a funk-driven bass line, rolling tribal percussion, classic house pads and a sultry vocal. This one is perfect for those summer beach parties or big club dance floors alike. We are very honored to have Veev join the family, look out for future releases from him on Cueca Recordings coming later this year.

Legend is a title used too often these days, but we can't think of a better word to describe and introduce our next Cueca remixer. Also hailing from Canada, Toronto to be exact, Nick Holder is one of the true pioneers when it comes to house music and the classic house sound in North America and the world alike. Since the 90's he has been responsible for dropping classics on Defected, Stickman Records, Maya Records, Stealth and of course his very own NRK Music & DNH Records. If you have been spinning house music in the last twenty years, Nick's tracks most certainly had a place in your record bag. On this remix, Nick works his genius by stripping the original back slightly, while upping the funk of the bass. Huge disco strings cut through a percussion led groove while adding the unmistakable classic chord style which he has become known for. Simply put, 'it's as good as it gets'. We are honored and grateful to have an artist of his stature join our family and he certainly doesn't disappoint with his interpretation of Veev's original. Also included in this package is an instrumental of Nick's remix which holds up just as well as the vocal cut. Cueca Recordings welcomes Veev and Mr. Holder with open arms and we hope you feel this classic house expression as much as we do. 'Oh Canada'.
