Under the auspices of various units of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Germany, the 18th death anniversary of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was commemorated with dignity, respect, and great solemnity. Among these, the largest, most distinctive, and most memorable event was organized by the Göttingen chapter of PPP Germany, under the leadership of its President Mr. Muhammad Haroon, along with the President of the Women’s Wing of PPP Germany, Mohtarma Nezhat Haroon.

The uniqueness of this event lay in the wide participation, which included central office-bearers of PPP Germany, officials of PPP Europe, heads of party subsidiary wings such as the President of PYO, local leadership of Pakistan Muslim League (N), businessmen, university students, social and cultural organizations, and a very large number of women. Leaders of other political parties and a large segment of the community were also present.

Additionally, the Central Secretary of Information of the Pakistan Peoples Party and prominent leader, Mr. Nadeem Afzal Chan, addressed the gathering via telephone and paid glowing tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, which was greatly appreciated by the audience. A voice message from PPP Karachi leader and Member of the National Assembly, Mohtarma Shahida Rehmani, was also played, in which she paid heartfelt tribute to Bibi Shaheed.

From PPP Germany’s central organization, the President of PPP Germany Syed Zahid Abbas Shah; Senior Vice President Chaudhry Muhammad Younis; Additional Secretary General Syed Jafar Abbas Shah; Vice President Kifayat Hussain Sahlaria; Social Media In-Charge and President of PPP Bremen City; and Secretary General Bremen City Aurangzeb Zaib Chaudhry attended the event and delivered brief addresses.

In the next segment, the President of the Ladies Wing, Mohtarma Nezhat Haroon, and the chief host of the event, President of PPP Göttingen, Muhammad Haroon, continuously thanked the guests for their participation from the beginning through the proceedings and also delivered brief speeches.

The President of PYO Germany, Mr. Sher Zaman Khan, addressed the gathering and paid powerful tribute to the Shaheed leader. Along with him, local students also described Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto as a great leader and pledged to fulfill her mission under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while announcing their full support for PPP Germany.

Although a large number of women participated in the event, a particularly notable aspect was the emotional participation of many homemakers, who paid heartfelt tribute to Bibi Shaheed and expressed their commitment to support the party by following her path. It is worth mentioning that the daughter-in-law of Haroon Bhai and Nezhat Haroon beautifully recited a written dialogue in tribute to Bibi Shaheed, which was deeply moving.

Towards the conclusion of the event, Mr. Chaudhry Rehmatullah, Vice President of PPP Europe, offered a long and heartfelt prayer for Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, for the deceased relatives of those present, and especially for the late Ibn Rizvi and Chaudhry Tahir—both close associates of Chaudhry Younis—and for Farooq Chaudhry and other Kashmiri brothers. He prayed to Allah Almighty for their forgiveness and elevation in ranks.

At the end of the ceremony, a grand and generous feast was hosted, in which nearly 250 women, men, and children were served delicious and plentiful food—reflecting the renowned hospitality of Haroon Bhai and Mohtarma Nezhat Haroon.

All videos, photographs, and speeches from the event are being forwarded to media channels. These also include prayers held on December 27 by the Berlin units, a prayer gathering at Ghausia Mosque in Frankfurt, and other prayer ceremonies organized at various locations across Germany.
