Fry Masala Arvi Written Recipe With Directions

Ingredients:

-Taro roots (arvi) 500 g
-Water (pani) 2 glass
-Cooking oil half cup
-Bay leaf (taiz paat) 1
-Cloves (laung) 5
-Green cardamom (sabaz elaichi) 3
-Cumin seeds (zeera) ½ tsp
-Red chilli buttons (sabut lal mirch) 6
-Garlic (lehsan) cloves chopped 5
-Onion (piyaz) chopped 2 medium size
-Yogurt (dahi) 1 cup (whisk well)
-Dry mango powder (amchur) ½ tsp
-Turmeric (haldi) powder ¼ tsp
-Red chilli (lal mirch) powder ½ tsp
-Cumin seeds (zeera) powder ½ tsp
-Dried coriander (khuskh dhania) powder 1 tbs
-Kashmiri Red chilli (lal mirch) powder ½ tsp
-Ginger (adrak) chopped 1 tbs
-Green chillies (hari mirch) chopped 3
-Tomatoes (tamatar) 2 big size
-Salt (namak) 1 tsp or to taste
-Ground Mixed spices (garam masala) ½ tsp

Directions:

-In a pressure cooker, add water and taro roots. Cover and cook it for 5 mins.
-Bring them out and let them cool. Then, peel off the taro roots. Cut them into any shape.
-In the pan, add cooking oil and heat it.
-Add bay leaf, cloves, green cardamom, cumin seeds, and red chilli buttons. Mix and cook it on a medium flame for 1 min.
-Add garlic and onion and cook it on medium flame until onions turn brown.
-In a bowl, add yogurt, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin seeds powder, dried coriander powder, and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Mix well.
-When onions turn brown, add prepared mixture on low flame and cook it for 3-4 mins. Add ginger, green chillies and tomatoes. Cook it on low flame.
-Add  1 cup water and bring it to a boil.
-In another pan, add cooking oil and heat it. Add taro roots and fry them on high flame until light golden in colour.
-Add fried taro roots to gravy. Mix and cook it on a medium flame for 4-5 mins.
-Then, cook it for 2 mins on high flame.
-Add salt and ground mixed spices. Mix and cook it for 2 mins.
-Dish out, and garnish it with green chillies. Serve and enjoy!
