Let’s dive into the roots of this common skincare concern -

1️⃣ Ageing & Sun Exposure:
As we age and are exposed to sun damage, our skin loses collagen and elastin, making it less firm and causing pores to enlarge. 

2️⃣ Excess Sebum Production:
Patients with oily skin types often find they have more visible pores. This is because oily skin produces more sebum, stretching pores and making them more visible. If not controlled, this may lead to permanently enlarged pores.

3️⃣ Dehydrated/ Dry Skin:
Patients with dry skin types may also find that their pores appear larger as it lacks elasticity. Furthermore, dry skin may attempt to overproduce sebum to compensate, thus worsening clogged pores.

4️⃣ Poor Skincare Habits:
Not cleansing effectively or using non-comedogenic products can contribute to pore congestion.
