Written and recorded in 1997 with producer Jon Sweet, our Britpop anthem 'Modern Girl' went on to be re-recorded as 'Chemical Angel' on our 1998 album 'Beautiful Insane'.

We've returned to the original recording on the 2023 release of 'Calling All The Dreamers MK1' to celebrate all the amazing, modern women in our lives. To be a woman in 2023 means embracing a multifaceted identity, where traditional roles and contemporary aspirations converge. It's about navigating a world rich with opportunities while often juggling the complexities of career, personal life, and societal expectations in the face of a world dominated by men who block, steal, challenge and repeal.

We’re in awe of all the women who are breaking barriers in every field, asserting their voices in areas once dominated by men. Empowerment and equality are central, with a strong focus on shattering the glass ceiling and challenging gender norms. Technology and social media are playing a significant role, offering platforms for expression and connection. Yet, amidst these advancements, modern women still have to confront ongoing challenges around equity, respect, and work-life balance — thanks for everything you do.
