Katniss had her first Irritable Bowel Disease flare-up! What happened + what we learned

In spring 2023, my cat Katniss was diagnosed with Irritable Bowl Disease. After undergoing eight-plus months of tests, treatments, stress and vet visits, Katniss achieved a point of relative stability. We were treating her IBD with a modified diet and probiotics, her weight climbed/stabilized, and her energy returned. I thought we might be out of the woods.

UNTIL the flare-up happened! In July 2024, after nearly a year of no issues, Katniss experienced her first IBD flare-up. This brought all of the old feelings of stress and anxiety back from her initial illness/diagnosis and taught us a lot! This video is the story of that experience along with some of the key lessons we have learned.

If your cat has IBD/lymphoma, I hope our story brings comfort. This is a totally manageable condition!
