We've been filming the progress of our breeding season for our Buff Orpington chickens and this week Nutmeg was due to hatch her clutch of 13 eggs. Unfortunately the hatch began to fail as she deserted the nest part way into the hatch. Nutmeg left newly hatched chicks and live eggs to a risk of hypothermia.

We'll show you how we cared for the chicks and eggs. We'll also show you how the chicks were reintroduced to the brood hen Nutmeg.
