This video is likely one of the oldest, if not the oldest tornadic videos out of the country of Cuba. It showcases a somewhat forgotten/undocumented F4 tornado touch down and tear through Cruces, Cuba in 1999. This tornado has almost completely no documentation outside of the very video here. The first part showcases the actual tornado itself causing damage, while the rest of the film shows mostly shots of damage & a newsreel. My friend @AlvaroIvan21 discovered this footage on Facebook a bit ago and kindly shared the link with me. According to the uploader, the tornado & damage footage was recorded by Andre Calderin Gomez. If he ends up seeing this video and wants it down, I encourage him to let me know! Overall, this tornado is just so forgotten and I believe this impressive footage can be properly accounted as the first tornado footage to be recorded in Cuba (as well as the strongest). This excludes a likely waterspout or funnel cloud filmed in 1933. So, enjoy this incredible and historical video!
