HEATH SANDERS "Where the Water Runs Still"

Описание к видео HEATH SANDERS "Where the Water Runs Still"

Little back story.

I grew up in Zack Ridge Arkansas, just outside of Marshall in the foothills of the Ozarks. As far as I know my grandpa was born and raised there and so was his daddy.
Papaw worked the sawmill all his life until a massive heart attack put him on disability. This turned out to be pretty fortunate for me as a youngster, as I got to spend every waking moment with the greatest man to ever walk this earth.
I don’t just say that because he was my blood, I say it because the man could’ve walked right out of a Norman Rockwell painting. I never knew him to cuss and I don’t think I ever saw the man get mad. He was all American blue collar country to the bone.
Regardless of his health and how bad I’m sure he felt some days, he never, not once, ever refused to take me fishin when I asked... so we spent at least 3 or 4 days a week on Bear Creek.
We’d always start at the same hole of water that I now, affectionately call the Still Hole. Simply because regardless of how high the water got, that hole always seemed to be at a standstill, much like life does when I’m sittin on its banks.
A few months ago I was reminiscing on the day I held his hand and watched him take his last breath and how I spent that evening sitting there staring out at that hole of water, pondering on all I had learned from the man standing in that very spot.... and that’s how this song came to be.
I could go on and on about how selfless and truly honorable he was and how much he taught about being content with what you have... but no one has the time.

Thanks for the guitar, Papaw... and for all the time you spent with me Where the Water Runs Still.

Thank you to Jonathan Tedford Music and Mr Phillip Moore for all your help with the write.
