Michael Robbins Biography
Michael Robbins is a professor at Columbia University and serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Larson Financial, overseeing assets exceeding $15 billion. He's also the author of "QUANTITATIVE ASSET MANAGEMENT: Factor Investing and Machine Learning for Institutional Investing," published by McGraw Hill on June 6, 2023.
Additionally, he holds key positions on the boards of Blythestone Corporation and UEC, a hedge fund. Michael contributes insights regarding governance, strategy, and investments. His career commenced in nuclear physics at RTI before venturing into electronic warfare at ASD, a subsidiary of Northrop. Later, he became a proprietary trader at Oppenheimer/CIBC, managing substantial portfolios with consistent profits.
Afterwards, he managed portfolios focused on prime loans and derivatives at Washington Mutual's treasury.
