At Joyent, we approached the problem from a different perspective: having deployed containers in production for nearly a decade, we knew that the underlying technology was ready -- but could developer-friendly Docker meet the needs of modern operations teams? In developing and deploying a public, multi-tenant container-native Docker service, we learned some hard lessons -- but also made some exciting discoveries along the way.
