We bought the new HobbyZone SuperCub LP just to see how much different it is from the original SuperCub. I must admit that there is a noticable difference in power between the two. The new LP is substantially faster due to the lipo battery upgrade and of course this equals higher performance. The two planes are priced the same, but, the old model is currently being phazed out anyways. Unless you get an incredible deal on the old model, hold out until you can buy the LP version as it is considerably better. This is the perfect airplane for anyone wanting to get into flying RC airplanes or for an expert pilot who just wants a relaxing flight to maintain his skills. We highly recommend that every RC enthusiast has at least one HobbyZone SuperCub (or SuperCub LP) in their hangar. We've got three!
