B.B. King interview by Dan McClosky and Bill Newell. B.B. was just starting to achieve major fame back in 1969. He hadn't come out yet with The Thrill is Gone, which would later take him to the next level. This is a fascinating snapshot of where B.B. was at after 25 years in the business. He went on to become the most important and influential blues guitarist of all time. In this interview, B.B. talks about his early life, his musical influences, early groups and bands he played with, and working hard to promote blues to a wider audience. He was a humble and gracious man who appreciated other musicians. He led by example and was truly the King of the Blues.
