1958 Fender Stratocaster & Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocasters | CME Gear Demo

At Chicago Music Exchange, we have the ability to put Custom Shop reissue guitars in the same room as their muse (the vintage original). Here, Shelby and Andrew play a couple of Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocasters alongside this real-deal 1958 Fender Stratocaster. It's more of a tribute than a shootout, but we can see that the Fender Custom Shop guitars are made with outstanding care to recreate the look and feel of a well-played vintage instrument.

This 1958 Fender Stratocaster is an absolute blues and rock dream machine. At 57 years old, this vintage guitar is in beautiful condition, with some light checking on the body and a few minor dings on the neck.

The Fender Custom Shop '59 Journeyman Relic Stratocaster in Daphne Blue and Lake Placid Blue both offer the best of the vintage and modern worlds. The mimicked playing wear across the back of the neck is as close as it gets to the real thing!
