Main Speaker Open The Port or Close The Port ??? Port produces loose bass not tight bass.

Sonus Faber Guarneri Tradition is a ported design bookself speakers.
It has a port at the back of its cabinet.
Should I open the port or close the port with foam ?

When consumer complaint that a particular bookshelf speakers not enought bass,
the manufacturer just added a port to lower down the low frequency.
BUT port produces loose bass not tight bass.

Try to close the port, let your subwoofer handle the low frequency.

Listen carefully for the "double bass instrument" that plays the low frequency for this song.

BUT Open the Port produces "bouncing drum" type of feeling, more rhythm, more musical.
This could be the round shape design cabinet of the Sonus Faber Guarneri Tradition.
