Sharkskin suits are eye-catching suits. They have a great looking texture with a masculine aesthetic.

The fabric is a closely woven worsted wool fabric that uses two tones of yarn in a twill weave. The result is a variation in its color due to the weaving process. It also produces a nice and smooth finish with a relatively high luster.

But there are more benefits! The fabric is lightweight and somewhat wrinkle-free due to the tight weave. Consequently, this helps the suit keep its shape for a long time.

What about style? Are sharkskin suits In style at the moment?

Absolutely. Sharkskin suits have been around since mid-century, when they were first popular in the workplace.

Since then, synthetic variations have unfortunately made an appearance, but now, thankfully, wool is back in favor, cementing sharkskin as a classic suiting style.
