About the victim:
#KatrinaBanks was 35 years young, well-known, and loved at her place of employment. She was a beautiful person with a fantastic smile and very loyal. Even though she was the youngest of her siblings, Katrina Banks was the matriarch of her big family. The last family gathering Katrina planned was a big birthday bash. It was the weekend before Thanksgiving in 2016. Katrina had been a beloved and respected member of the nursing staff at Retreat Doctors' Hospital since July 2003. She was the Nursing House supervisor at night. Katrina did all this while pursuing her master's degree in nursing leadership. However, she loved being at home with her husband and children when she wasn't working on her personal career. Alvin Banks, a former Marine, was a successful RV salesman in Richmond, Virginia. The couple had a young son and daughter. To everyone who knew them, they seemed like a perfect couple. ©Leah Gordone

About the case:
#AlvinBanks, was charged with first-degree murder for the November 2016 k-lling of his wife, Katrina Banks. Although he confessed to sh--ting her, he argued during the trial that he accidentally shot his wife, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
