David Thompson@The Chit Chat Café Songs 7 to 11 Live 10 26 24

I started the 2nd half of my Chit Chat Café show with a song from my 2nd CD that explains where I get song ideas from, LOL. It's called, 'Rock&Blues...The Rules'. My 2nd song is one that will be on my up coming 5th CD, 'Lay My Body Down' and then another love song that I titled 'Heartbreak Kid', but, it's still a love song. On the internet I heard that one of the original members of the Doobie Bros, Tom Johnston, just recently celebrated his 76 birthday so I figured I'd do a song from their Captain And Me album that he wrote, sang and played lead guitar on, 'Dark Eyed Cajun Woman'. I felt like doing another Eagles song like 'Hotel California'. Turns out that toward the later part of the song you can see me stumbling. I was starting to get a cramp in my left leg. I don't have any idea what caused it, but, I had to end my show one song early and get off that leg. I must have started to stand in such a way that put extra strain on that leg. Oh well, It was still a really fun afternoon with some nice people in the audience. Just got to do this again!!
