YAML has become a common format, be it for AWS CloudFormation and/or Kubernetes applications.

YAML is an excellent format for describing the desired state of your infrastructure. However, have you ever wished for a better easier way of managing growing YAML files? Are you tired of writing code without the primitives for expressing logic and reusable abstractions?

Fear not, AWS CDK is here! It is an open source software development framework to define Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and provision it through AWS CloudFormation. It offers a high-level object-oriented abstraction to define AWS resources imperatively using the power of modern programming languages. Join the session to learn what is AWS CDK and how you can use it further build, version control and apply programming reusability constructs to Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

We will also take a quick glimpse into newly announced AWS CDK for Kubernetes, or cdk8s, a new open-source project.
