Audiovisual artist and event coordinator, PhD in Public Art and Management, resident in Berlin. In 2012 co-founded audiovisual collective StratoFyzika and since 2013 she has been coordinator and booker of female: pressure Circle. Performs live as hiT͟Hərˈto͞o, an experimental techno project with releases on female:pressure, Kashev Tapes, SPRINGSTOFF and Establishment records.

Akkamiau hosted shows at Colaboradio, Cashmere radio and HÖR Berlin, and regularly DJs on the local Berlin techno scene. Recently producing podcasts presenting a delicate mixture of experimental and dance music.

As Akkamiau she released EP Interjections (2019) and EP Ediacaran (2021), both on record label Detroit Underground. With dance collective collapsetofraction produced a/v performance Interjections (Liminal Act) in 2019 and their collaboration continues with announced premiere of new international collab project Voltage 2.0 in March 2022.

“Audiovisual performance is formally parallel to time/space/energy exchange and I use physics or math theories as concepts for the creation process. My approach to sound and light and action is an experimental alchemy, a wide range from emotional interpretation of abstract synthetic language, to the perception of the physical motion of matter in an environment.”

The Ambient Chaos Music Series hosted at Spectrum since 2012 came to a halt for the 2020 Covid 19 crisis. We decided to make an online series where artists do 15 minute sets from their studios and share their music. The series focuses on ambient, experimental, electronic music, and similar genres.

This is an open call for everyone to submit a 15 minute live performance. Please record direct sound from a mixer to your camera or desktop. No room microphones please. I’d like to keep the quality a bit better.

For the video part, you can do whatever you like, film in your studio, in your living room and etc. Please send in a 16x9 HD video file in .mp4 or .mov format in .h264 compression.

Also send your project name, short bio, and genre. We are looking for electronic, ambient, experimental, and the like.

Please do not send archived footage. I’d like these 15 minute pieces to be new.
