Yasmine Hammamet-
Hammamet has a little bit of a mixed impression with many with some stating the obvious “it's not the traditional Tunisia” etc which is naturally true but then, is Las Vegas typical of the US? Not at all! But what Yasmine Hammamet certainly offers is one of Tunisia’s grand projects offering tourists something modern clean and purpose built.

Hammamet is one of the large tourist centers of Tunisia and thus getting to it is simplicity itself from Tunis follow the highway to Sousse, and from Sousse follow the highway which will cost 1.2 dinars from Tunis and 1.6 Dinars from Sousse (2008).

You can also get trains, buses and louages to Hammamet and then taxi it down here.
Yasmine has two places that you are likely to find yourself when not enjoying your hotel.
These are the lovely new Marina and the equally impressive Medina complex.

The marina in Yasmine is one of the main attractions and is certainly one of the places to find a nice restaurant during your stay here. The Marina has three main parts with wide spaces for walking about through the centre which is where you find the majority of the restaurants.

Once you have been through the middle, you can then walk through the tidy gardens to the boats where there is another path and a new set of little buildings which I guess are destined to be yacht brokers/support businesses for the marina.

In the Yasmine Hammamet hotel zone, south of Hammamet’s medina, an extraordinary family-friendly theme park awaits you. “Carthage Land” is themed around Hannibal and his crossing of the Alps with elephants. From white-water slides to elaborate shows, all friends of amusement parks get their money’s worth here. There is also a water park and a museum about Tunisian history on the grounds of “Carthage Land”. It was actually the first theme park in North Africa.

In summer it gets very hot in Hammamet and what is more worthwhile than a day at the aqua park? According to Google Maps, Aquapark Flipper and Funwater Hammamet no longer exist. Instead, the Dreamy Sea Waterpark north of the centre of town attracts visitors with bouncy castles and slides in the sea. And then there is Carthageland in Yasmine Hammamet, which has an aqua park. If you’ve had enough of Hammamet’s historical attractions, you can let off steam here.

IDEAL TIME TO TRAVEL: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO TO HAMMAMET?
The best time for a beach holiday is between April and November. Then you can expect temperatures between 20 and 31 degrees. There is little rain in the summer months. July and August can be very hot. However, with a hotel pool and the sea, the Sahara temperatures are perfectly bearable. In winter, the temperature in Hammamet averages around 15 degrees. For a wellness holiday with sightseeing and long walks on the beach, this is a welcome change from the European winter – and cheap, too.
