Born on 22nd January in Delhi India, Babar Latif is son of a renowned Tabla meastro Late Ustad Latif Ahmed Khan, He hails from the prestigious lineage of the Dilli Gharana,initiated in the art of Tabla playing by his legendary father He later continued his training from Late Ustad Munnu Khan Sahib,Babar Latif is one of the most accomplished and distinctive tabla players of his generation with a reputation for technical virtuosity, spontaneity, clarity of tone, and sensitivity to melodic nuances, The gharana's baaj style is clearly visible in his performance,Apart from being a dynamic soloist, he is a highly sought after accompanist who has performed with some of most celebrated Hindustani classical musicians, including ,Pandit, Rajan mishra ji.Pandit, Sajan mishra ji,Ustad Iqbal ahmed Khan saheb,Ustad Shahid parvez,Ustad Shujat Khan Sahib, Ustad Nishat khan sahib, Ustad Saeed Zafar Khan,Kathak exponent Smt,Nandini singh Ji,Ustad Daud Khan Sadozai,Pt,Barun Kumar pal,Shri Ayaan Ali Bangash, Smt,Sunanda Sharma, His recorded Tabla with Pt.
