I found an amazing recipe for a cold/flu remedy that actually WORKS! BUT! Will it work in my freeze dryer? Let's find out together.... If all else fails, still make this syrup!

Elderberry Syrup: (double batch)
7 cups water - 1 + 1/3 cups dried elderberries - 4 tablespoons grated fresh ginger - 1 tablespoon whole cloves - 4 cinnamon sticks - 16oz honey
Bring all ingredients except for honey in a large saucepan and simmer for 30 minutes - remove from heat and stir in honey. Store in sealed jar in refrigerator for 2 months
