【Meaning】because; for that reason

★"もので" is an expression used to explain a reason or cause. It is commonly used in spoken language, especially by women and children. By adding "もの" at the end of a sentence, it sounds natural in conversation. Additionally, the sentence following "ものですから/もので" can sometimes be omitted

（原因・理由）〜ので　/　〜から

事故があったもので、遅れました
　→事故があったので、遅れました

昔のことなもので、よく覚えていません
　→昔のことなので、よく覚えていません

The expression "～ものだから" carries a nuance of making an excuse.
(Example) バスが遅れたものですから、遅れてしまいました。
("The bus was late, so I ended up being late."
It means, "Since the bus was late, there was nothing I could do. You understand, right...?")
"～ものだから" cannot be followed by expressions that show commands or intentions in the following clause.
(Example 1) 暑い（△から、〇ので、×ものだから）、窓を開けていただけませんか？
("It's hot, so could you please open the window?")
(Example 2) 疲れた（〇から、△ので、×ものだから）、休もう！
("I'm tired, so let's take a break!")

から = Used for a direct reason. It's more casual.
ので = Used for a softer or polite reason. It's often gentler.

彼女は体が弱いもので、あまり外出できません。
(Because she is physically weak, she can’t go out much.)

自分の意見を言うのが苦手なもので、いつも黙ってしまいます。
(Because I’m not good at expressing my opinions, I always stay silent.)

去年転職したもので、今年は新しい仕事に慣れるのに時間がかかりました。
(Because I changed jobs last year, it took me time to get used to the new job this year.)

★ For an even more casual way of saying it, expressions like "もんだから" or "もんで" are used.

遅くまで働いていたもんだから、家に帰るとぐったりしています。
(Because I worked late, I’m exhausted when I get home.)

引っ越ししたもんだから、荷物がまだ片付いていません。
(Because I moved, my belongings are still not unpacked.)

彼女は忙しいもんで、いつも時間通りに来ることが難しいです。
(Because she’s busy, it’s difficult for her to arrive on time.)

その映画は感動的だったもんで、涙が止まりませんでした。
