This video is a sample of our cleaning procedure on a cedar siding home. This cleaning process will remove the build up of algae, lichen, mold, dirt and debris that will accumulate on a wood cedar surface. At 800 Psi and the proper cleaning chemicals, this cleaning process is gentle enough to strip the surface without damaging or scaring the soft lumber. Sodium Hydroxide acts as our stripping agent with additional Sodium Carbonate to act a s a mild surfactant. Oxalic Acid is used to brighten the wood's natural color, reduce tannin stains, reduce nail bleed as oxalic acid also works as a rust remover, and will PH balance the material in preparation for stain and / or sealer.
