The Royal Mummies were moved in 2021 from the Egyptian Museum to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, both of which are in Cairo. They are located in the Royal Mummies Hall. The Royal Mummies include Pharaoh Ramsesses II as well as Queen Hatshepsut. There are 20 mummies in all (as of this writing) on display. Video and photography is not allowed in the Royal Mummies Hall, but it is allowed in the museum otherwise.

If you are planning on visiting the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, may I suggest you make this visit your last sightseeing event. It is appropriate to end a visit to Egypt by paying your respects to these great men and women of the past.
