I know, I know. I should be working on JumpStart. But frankly my motivation is low right now, plus I was home this weekend, plus it's my seven year anniversary and I thought maybe I should do something special with the computer that started all the madness.

Anyhoo, I recalled I never got any good footage of this computer directly. Considering this computer doesn't seem to have much time left, I thought it was good a time as any to get it while it was still alive. This is footage from the very first computer I ever used, which I did a video of several years ago. By and large it has mostly not changed, except that I've since replaced the Trident card with an ATI Mach64.

This is mostly raw, unedited footage. The only cuts I made were long pauses where I switched games out, and one where I cut the savegame screen out of Tonka Construction -- the latter isn't as noticeable anyway since it works this way if there are no save games in the first place.

I played several games in this video plus demonstrated the computer's MIDI capability. Things covered in the video:

SimTown -- a more dumbed down, kid-friendly version of SimCity. Did this primarily because there's a distinct lack of any good gameplay footage, plus the few videos of it there are use General MIDI rather than OPL3, which is a sin to me.
Pajama Sam 1 -- Because of course we need the obligatory Humongous game! With the new video card it actually doesn't run in slow machine mode by default, but since I can't see the games played any other way on this computer, I decided to force it into that mode. And by the way, I should mention the disc drive on this computer can be really unreliable sometimes, which is why it took so long to load at the beginning.
Tonka Construction -- I've never really gotten to properly show this game running on an old computer before, which is a shame since it has pretty annoying timer issues on modern ones. I briefly showed off the desert and demonstrated how slowly the game scrolls on this computer.
Earthworm Jim -- the heavily underrated Windows 95 port that hasn't gotten a whole lotta coverage on YouTube either. Probably because it's annoying to get to run in emulators.
The Incredible Machine 3 -- Not much to say here, just footage of one of the greatest puzzlers ever.
Monkey Island 2 -- One of my favorite adventure games of all time, and mostly shown to demonstrate at least one DOS game.
MIDI -- demonstrating the AWE32 MIDI with Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon.
Let's Explore the Aiport -- Another HE game. Go to the sign-in screen of the Time to Play games for a surprise to my greatest contributors and closest friends :)
Putt-Putt and Fatty Bear's Activity Pack -- Showing that for some reason I colored all the pictures as a kid (terribly, but still did it) and playing Guess It and Circus Stormin'.
