Описание к видео SMRT NEW C151C Train PREVIEW with TIP UP SEATS

From mid-2018, a brand new train, Kawasaki CRRC Sifang C151C, will make its debut on the North South and East West Lines in the new signalling system. As the train is not dual-fitted, it only can run when the whole of both lines switches to CBTC signalling. The brand new train consist of STARiS v2.0, consisting of a LCD Display instead of a dynamic route map above every door. Also, the train uses a electric door system, similar to those of the NEL, CCL and DTL. In addition, tip up seats will replace some permanent seating in all of the carriages, and the end cab-doors features small windows for passengers to view the driver's cabin.

In this system, train doors opens and close automatically under the scheduled timetable timings, and trains run automatically, even in wet weather conditions. Trains also can run closer to each other, reducing the safety distance from the previous 150m between trains to just 50m with the new system. This will reduce the minimum waiting time of trains from 120s to just 100s, increasing maximum capacity of the line by up to 20%!
