Though debatable, the consensus is that 2005-06 is the best “prime” version of Kobe. Somebody commented on a previous video that ‘06 Kobe’s shot creating ability was incredible, perhaps unmatched by any other year of his. What I personally find impressive about 2006 is the fact that his shot attempts skyrocketed relative to seasons prior, yet he was still able to maintain and even slightly elevate his surface level (fg-3pt-ft) percentages; 45-35-85 on 27.2 attempts/game. The previous 2 seasons’ (2004-2005) accumulative percentages were at 43.5-33.4 and 83.2 on only 19.1 fga’s.
