This dissemination and implementation training series is part of a project funded and supported by the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. The overall goal of the project is to strengthen dissemination and implementation science training across clinical psychological science training programs. This panel, “Supporting Clinicians to Implement Evidence-Based Practices," features panelists Dr. Rinad Beidas and Dr. Shannon Dorsey.

In recent decades, researchers and policymakers have increasingly championed the use of evidence-based treatments (EBTs). Yet, integrating EBTs into community mental health settings can often be a complex process, and added clinical expectations and workflows can intensify the strain already experienced by clinicians in under-resourced environments. In this panel, Dr. Rinad Beidas and Dr. Shannon Dorsey discuss the value of drawing on clinicians' lived expertise and insights from behavioral science to enhance implementation efforts. The panelists also introduce novel supervision strategies to measure care quality, support clinicians in delivering EBTs, and ultimately improve clinical outcomes.
