Succulent Wall Tutorial
Here is how to build a live succulent wall garden similar to The Happy Plant's succulent wall:
Step1: Pick a wall that gets a good amount of morning light and not too much hot afternoon sun. A south our east facing wall would be optimal. Measure the wall to find out how many felt fabric pockets you’re going to need. Go to etsy.com/shop/HappyPlantStore to get your Succulent Wall Planter with Pockets made out of felt fabric.

Step2:

Use screws or hooks and the holes along the sides of the pockets to secure them on the wall. You’ll also need a drill or a hammer depending on the type of the wall and black spray paint.

Step 3: Once your pockets are secured on the wall, you’re ready to plant your succulents in them. You’ll need a lot of succulents, some soil and sphagnum moss.

Step 4: You can directly put the soil in the pockets and plant your succulents in them. Add the moss on top of the soil and around your succulent. This will help your succulents stay in the pocket and not fall off until their roots get stronger.

You don’t need to create drainage holes because the pockets are made out of felt fabric and can absorb the excess water. In fact, your succulent’s roots are going to love this fabric and start growing on it.

Step 5: Water your succulent wall using a garden hose or a jug. But only when the fabric and the top of the soil is completely dry to the touch. This can be once or twice a week depending on where you live and the time of the year.

To make your succulent wall garden look fuller, plant multiple succulents with different heights and sizes in each pocket.
