Chicco 4 in 1 Baby Hug Crib Review - 9 Months Later

A review of the Chicco 4 in 1 Baby Hug Crib after using for over 9 months with our new born baby.

Review summary:
With a larger footprint and equally large price tag the Chicco 4 in 1 Baby Hug is a sturdy, multi functional crib / baby chair that continues to serve its purpose everyday and has the potential to last for a few more years to come.

What we like:
- Adjustable height - easy to use foot pedal to unlock. Ideal to lower if you’re sat on a chair / sofa, you can lower to see baby
- Adjustable positions - tilt baby slightly so you can see each other
- Handy to put baby in for naps
- Can make in to a chair (strap baby in) so he can watch us or tv at a safe height from dog
- Lockable wheels on base - easy to move around the room
- Has a built in music player (rarely use anymore)
- Option to use as high chair if you by the extra ‘Meal Kit’ add on
- Sturdy (but heavy if you need to lift)


What we don’t like:
- Bit of a challenge to set up. Diagrams were helpful but not as clear or obvious as they could be - We had to YouTube it to see where we were going wrong
- Large footprint - needs a dedicated space in the room as doesn’t fold away. (originally a bit of an issue when used as a daytime crib but now as a high chair we use all the time)
- Mattress isn’t the thickest, baby didn’t complain but may be worth lining with a second blanket
