Returning from war, you find your home village destroyed by monsters and your friends and family murdered. A rampage for answers and revenge ensues, leading you from your quaint island-town to vast underground cities, capital districts, and into the dark corners of the otherworld. Finally your quest has you trekking through a lost magic-tech civilization to set things right - the Sunken Land.

Originally conceived as a Total Conversion for vanilla Doom (yes, you could run it in your 486 if you wanted to), Rekkr ultimately got a digital commercial release with exclusive content and even a very limited physical release. Rekkr truly did sorcery turning vanilla Doom into a norse fantasy FPS.

I am updating my ancient Rekkr playthrough with this one, using the final version present in the Rekkr CD version. Rekkr has been updated many times over the years, adding secrets, tweaking levels and even removing whole episodes since the original release.

Al regresar de la guerra, descubres que tu aldea natal ha sido destruida por monstruos y que tus amigos y familiares han sido asesinados. Lo que sigue es una cruzada de venganza y búsqueda de respuestas que te llevará desde tu tranquila isla natal hasta vastas ciudades subterráneas, distritos capitalinos y los rincones más oscuros del otro mundo. Finalmente, tu viaje te llevará a recorrer una civilización perdida de magia y tecnología para poner las cosas en su sitio: The Sunken Land.

Originalmente concebido como una Total Conversion para el Doom original (sí, podías ejecutarlo en un 486 si querías), Rekkr acabó recibiendo un lanzamiento comercial digital con contenido exclusivo e incluso una edición física muy limitada. Rekkr hizo auténtica magia al convertir el Doom clásico en un FPS de fantasía nórdica.

Estoy actualizando mi antiguo playthrough de Rekkr con esta versión, usando la edición final incluida en el CD de Rekkr. A lo largo de los años, el juego ha recibido múltiples actualizaciones que añadieron secretos, ajustaron niveles e incluso eliminaron episodios enteros desde su lanzamiento original.
