Quick tip: Side chaining kick and bass

When side chaining, you want the kick and bass to take turns to dominate. If you want to know if your side chain is effective, listen to the kick drum, does it cut through better with the side chain in place? And when the transient has passed, the bass should then swell back in and fill the space, but listen to the kick as you pull down your threshold to see if it's message is becoming clearer
