In this video, we also feature the story about Carl Tanzler. Carl Tanzler was a German-born radiologist in Florida who became obsessed with a young tuberculosis patient named Elena Hoyos. After her death in 1931, he secretly took her body from the mausoleum and lived with it for years, attempting to preserve it with wax, wire, and chemicals. His disturbing devotion was only discovered in 1940, shocking the public and cementing his story as one of history’s most macabre tales of obsession.
