Welcome to my first play-through of Star Trek Adventures: Captain’s Log!

In this Star Trek solo RPG journey, I am using this initial play-though to learn the system as I go (including all my mistakes)—and I’m excited to bring you aboard the USS Demeter. I am not a very good writer, so I am also using this as a way to explore writing, and taking an idea from a thought to a story.

I tried throughout the video to include information about the game, my rolls, etc at the appropriate moments including those where I may have missed something.

Lastly, this video was created using a variety of tools (including some that leverage AI-assisted visuals and production techniques), but all of the story, decisions, and dialogue are crafted by me using prompts, etc. from Star Trek Adventures Captain's Log.

🛠 Tools I’m using:
• Living Writer - craft and manage the story (not using Screenplay mode).
• ChatGPT (4.1 mini) - grammar corrections, dialogue formatting, as well as to learn where writing can be improved.
• ElevenLabs - conversational text-to-speech voices.
• Final Cut Pro - video editing.
• Suno - background music.
• Star Trek Adventures Character Creator - the Avatars.
