Warning: the kiss of death signal on the stock markets. Some of the key major markets such as the S&P 500 have fallen by 20% from their all time highs (peak to trough). This is typically referred to as a "bear market". However, we have explained before that the "20% rule" is not a very reliable indication of a bear market. So in this video we shall examine a simple and much more powerful method for identifying bear markets. This strategy is called "the kiss of death". We shall explain the steps of this simple method and look at some key examples, such as the 2008 crash, the 2000 "dot com" crash, the 1929 Wall Street Crash and so on. The big question remains: is the stock market about to trigger a "kiss of death" bear market signal this year? And if so, how will we know and what could it mean?
